Our canine detection program is among some of the best methods
available today. The results speak for themselves and we have
proven this on the streets and canine detection competitions.
We specialize in PASSIVE RESPONSE/ALERTS from our detection dogs. At the same time
we realize some dogs will be used in different jobs and handlers or departments may request a different alert.
We have the ability to fulfill the request.
We take pride in our detection dogs! Our methods of training combined with our dogs have been proven effective on the streets and in competition. Tri-State's dogs and handlers have competed in the National Police K9 Olympics placing 1st in Narcotic Detection.
Tri-State Canine Services require all canines to pass a formal evaluation process prior to acceptance into the detection training program. We offer two levels of training to meet your needs:
Level One : 4 – 6 weeks in length includes odor imprinting and basic search patterns.
Level Two : 8 – 12 weeks in length includes odor imprinting, basic and advanced search patterns. This is the level our dogs are required to be prior to entering the handler's course.
If you feel this course may be of interest to you, check out our page and see the results
of some trained DETECTION ONLY dogs.
* Handler's course is approved by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) and is available upon request.*
Feel free to contact us anytime for pricing and scheduling.
Narcotic training available only to law enforcement and private detection agencies with a DEA
